1967 HR Holden Hearse

This 1967 HR Holden hearse was sold new by Southern Motors. These photographs were taken in Melbourne in the late 1980s. Although information from various sources differs, several people have mentioned that just four of these hearse were built. Whether that is true or not, we can’t be sure. This car was only just out of service when these photos were taken, and the hearse is now owned by a Melbourne Holden enthusiast. Does anyone know who built the body?

1968 HK Holden Hearse

This picture was sent to us by Chris Clements, of Las Vegas, USA. It's a 1968 HK Holden Premier hearse, with bodywork by Sage Motor Body Works in Melbourne. It appears to be powered by a 186 CI 6 cylinder engine. A similar car to this (possibly the same one?) was seen at Bendigo Swap meet in the early 1990s.
